Homemade Donuts
Shall we make some delicious homemade donuts?
Ingredients
- •300 ml milk
- •650 grams all-purpose flour
- •10 grams dry yeast
- •1 whole egg
- •1/2 tablespoon butter
- •1 capful vanilla essence
- •4 tablespoons sugar
- •1 pinch salt
- •Filling and toppings of your choice (dulce de leche, melted milk or white chocolate, sprinkles, chopped peanuts, etc.)
Instructions
- 1
Add the milk, sugar, egg, a pinch of salt, and vanilla essence to a bowl.
- 2
Mix thoroughly until the sugar has completely dissolved.
- 3
Add the flour and yeast and stir with a spatula. When the dough becomes too stiff to stir, continue mixing with your hands.
- 4
Add the butter and knead for 5 minutes.
- 5
Shape the dough into a ball, place in a bowl dusted with flour, cover with a cloth, and let rise for 40 minutes.
- 6
Gently flatten the dough on a work surface and cut into pieces weighing about 70 grams each.
- 7
Shape the pieces into balls and place them on parchment paper.
- 8
Cover the dough balls with a cloth and let rest for another 30 minutes.
- 9
Flatten them slightly and make a hole in the center of each ball using a cutter or a small bottle cap.
- 10
Remove the donuts from the parchment paper and fry them over low heat in oil that is not too hot.
- 11
Brown on both sides, transfer to a platter lined with paper towels, and let cool.
- 12
If you like, slice the donuts horizontally and add a filling, and/or coat them with your choice of toppings. Decorate as desired, and your homemade donuts are ready.
